For this price, you really don’t complain,
As a recent beard grower I wasn’t convinced I even needed a beard trimmer, and had been soldiering on for a couple of months with a big set of hair clippers. I decided at this price I really couldn’t lose and I have to say I’ve been really impressed. This is a solid-feeling trimmer with the usual complete range of attachments which seem to cover all the possible beard-bases, although the instructions for use leave a little to be desired. Also, whatever you do don’t remove the clipper head to clean thoroughly – the instructions may command it, but you’ll be chasing little screws, springs and levers around the room and desperately trying to jam them back into the right places. Now I’ve learned not to repeat that mistake, I’m more than happy.

|plastic tab broke immediately,
As soon as I assembled the plastic 6-position beard guide, one of the tiny plastic tabs broke which is required to hold it in place. This was warned by other reviewers and they are quite right, that the robustness quality of the accessories is just too low. The device became instantly useless.
The good news is that Amazon provided its usual excellent customer service and refunded my money promptly with a simple return process. Then I simply bought a Panasonic Battery Operated Beard Trimmer and now I’m even happier not to deal wich chargers etc. It has even proven good enough for occasional direct shaving of the skin areas below my beard line.

Wahl 9918-1117 Beard and Moustache Groomsman Trimmer Mains/Rechargeable
I originally purchased one of these for my partner and he thought it was terrific. I then purchased another for my son (large hairy teenager) and he found it very easy to operate. Suffice to say they were both very impressed. Yes, the instructions are practically illegible but I have yet to meet a man who reads these anyway! Three very happy customers.
